Haworthia longiana

Here are some more photographs from my 1995 trip to South Africa.

These plants were growing in the hundreds near the town of Patensie. To give you some perspective on the size of the plants, the leaves are as long as your hand and as wide as a pencil, and are firm and rigid. In cultivation the leaf tips often die back; it’s not easy to grow well. This species likes full sun and good drainage.
